Template Management

 

Selecting Template Management from the Navigation frame displays the Single Device, Multiple Devices, Pending Templates, and Delete Templates tabs.

When employees are enrolled using fingerprint or hand enrollment, in addition to a Reader ID, a template is created from the finger scanning process.  This template is stored in the device used for the enrollment.  

Authorized personnel are able to move these templates between the source (enrollment device) and a different (destination) device.  In this way, the enrolled User is able to enter T&A transactions in one or more different devices.  

Notes

1. The devices/templates must be moved within the same Device Family.

2. The devices/templates must be moved within the same Division.

3. Move templates only during periods of inactivity at the destination device, as the device may not operate normally until all moved templates are received and processed.  Allow about one minute for each 50 templates you wish to move.

4.  An employee's Reader ID (specified during enrollment) on the source device cannot match another employee's Reader ID on the destination device or the template will not be moved.  The user must first delete the duplicate template ID on the destination device.

5.  An employee's Password ID (if a Password enrollment) on the source device cannot match another employee's Password ID on the destination device or the template will not be moved. The system automatically generates an email to the user:
